Poultry Processing Workshop - July 11 8AM - 11AM

Join farmer Jesse to learn how to process your own chicken

Poultry Processing Workshop — Hands-On Farm Experience

Join us at Whiffletree for a practical, small-group poultry processing workshop designed for homesteaders, aspiring small-scale farmers, and anyone interested in learning where their food comes from.

In this 3-hour, hands-on session, participants will follow the full process of taking a chicken from field to kitchen. Under the guidance of our farmer, Jesse, and two experienced members of our processing crew, you’ll learn each step in a structured environment, including slaughter, scalding and plucking, evisceration, quality control, chilling, and cutting up a bird.

Each participant will help process about four birds and take one home at the end of the workshop.
